IN PRINT - 121

                                                 Previous Strip   Next Strip

Can you believe this is actually Part 14 of this arc so far? I haven't titled or numbered each individual strip at the top of the page like I usually do.. It would make it easier just in we decide to collect up the strips in a book one day. Anyway this week we catch up on Eight and Rivers date night!
Before I go here's a reminder to join our group page on Facebook.

IN PRINT - 114

                                                    Previous Strip  Next Strip

This was written long before the 13th Doctor was chosen, but it really doesn't read like that does it?
There was a slight mix up last week and I referenced a strip that I've written but that Jim hasn't drawn yet. It's hopefully coming soon and it'll confirm that we here at In Print Towers are very much in favour of the new Doctor.

In other news I've just sent Jim a whole new batch of strips to Jim and Nesshead will be getting some soon as well. Sorry for the delay in getting things back to normal.

IN PRINT - 113

                                    Previous Strip    Next Strip

We're back and it's about time.

And yes, this strip is a ringing endorsement of the In Print team regarding the casting of Jodie Whittaker. She's a good actress with a solid CV, anything else is purely window dressing as far as casting the Doctor goes.

We've been a wee while getting things back on track and the responsibility lies solely with me.

I don't talk much about my private life on here, but a small handful of you know my divorce was getting finalised this year. Nothing to get down about, it's very definitely for the best, but it takes time and focus to deal with these things. Also, to give things a more positive spin I met someone else last year and since then we've moved in together and are expecting next month. However in between love, babies, co-habitation and engagements I found a lump.

You don't need any further details than that, just that everything's resolved as far as that's concerned and it won't hold up the strip any longer.

Jim has a series of scripts that should take us past my paternity leave and I re-read the entire run of the Infinites yesterday and Nesshead should have new scripts in the very near future.

So, yeah, sorry about the gap, but a massive thank you to Mike and 2ndFade who kept it smaller than I could have hoped.

It's good to be back.

IN PRINT - 112

                                              Previous Strip Next Strip

I've been toying with introducing River ever since 'The Name of the Doctor', since she obviously has some kind of connection. So here she us!!

There might be a slight delay before the next strip whilst we deal with writing buffers.

By which I mean I've lost the damn scripts and we haven't finished unpacking yet...

IN PRINT - 109

                                                Previous strip   Next Strip

Aha! Plot development!

It's been a while, but I'd recognise it anywhere.

April's on us at last and the Doctor won't be far behind. I, for one, can't wait.

Apologies for the late posting, my partner moved in with me a week or so back and we're still living out of boxes.

Normality resumes.... ah sod it. You're never getting normal here and quite frankly I wouldn't thank you for it.

See you all next week.

THE INFINITES - Strip 50!

                                       Previous Infinites   Next Infinites

Yeah, so, ahem.

Remember when we suggested that 'Cold Fusion' should really be in Big Finish's pipeline? Turns out it was. We're all really happy to hear about this, mostly because it's a really, really enjoyable story (one of my favourites from the Virgin range) and a little bit because we'd had to have re-written this arc.

Speaking of this arc, we interrupt it to bring you Nesshead's celebration of our 50th Infinites strip! Nesshead spent a lot of time on this and it just reinforces my feeling that I'd love to see more Unbound Doctors and that they have a ready made cast waiting. It's also worth noting that two previous Unbound cast members are returning to Big Finish soon and that one looks really, really familiar....

IN PRINT EXTRA... 7

Spoilers.

Maybe, perhaps, could be.

Probably not though.

There is a strip here, it's just underneath this text to give you guys a chance to decide if you want to risk being spoiled. In my opinion we've presented nothing but fan speculation and as such the strip is a perfectly safe read. But it wouldn't be the first time we've managed to hit the nail on the head completely by accident as a community.

Let's just say that it involves the casting of the Anniversary episode. Someone not unfamiliar to being cast in genre media. Someone who may, or may not, be dressed in some familiar clothes and a very familiar coat.

Anyway, the strip is just underneath. Make your mind up and I'll talk to you again in a moment...

                                           First Previous Next Latest

And there you have it; possibly the first bit of fan art of John Hurt as the new 9th Doctor. Or 8 and a half Doctor. Or something like that.

I personally think that Jim has knocked this one out of the park. In fact I have the initial sketch he did for this strip and if I ever get my own office then it'll be getting hung up there. It'd be a hell of a shame if John Hurt wasn't the Doctor now.

Maybe we'll find out tonight if he is. Who knows? Apart from the handful of Americans who recieved an advance copy of the DVD, I've kept out of their way though. I'll find out once my kids have gone to bed, much like I did for 'Nightmare in Silver'. Which was fun, wasn't it? I certainly enjoyed it. The last time Neil Gaiman wrote for the Doctor we got the wonderful 'The Doctor's Wife' which spawned this Extra for us and later introduced the character of Mrs T into or strip. 2nd Fade is currently working on our second Gaiman themed strip and I look forward to showing it off.

In the mean time I plan to go back to bed and try ignoring the rest of the world until I can commandeer the living room telly for myself.

How hard could that possibly be?

We can be disturbed through Facebook and Twitter as always.
