SURPRISE! You didn’t (won’t ) see this coming! It’s the end, but the moment has been prepared for! - How many more lines can we pluck from 63 years of our favourite TV show.. We can probably go on forever. It’s incredible to think that what we’ve been doing - we’ve been doing it for over 15 years - nearly a quarter of the length of how long Doctor Who’s been on air for. We’ll carry on… IN PRINT is too good of a thing to stop doing.. and if we run out of ideas, then I'm coming to find you, and I will never, ever stop." - No! Stop it, Jim! And it’s really daunting - the idea of carrying it on. It definitely won’t be the same without you, Alasdair… that for sure.
Ness had the idea for the extra strip. I knew he’d do something like that.. top man, that Ness! I just had to deliver it best way I could, so this page was created. I also couldn’t help but make another of TV videos.
From the bottom of our double hearts, Ness and I, we salute you and wish you the best of luck for all your future endeavours. I hope I’m out one day, in some town or city somewhere, and see your name in big lights next to the title of what you’ve written or created - you truly deserve that!
We’ve still got another week to go, and even at this point I feel like I’ve been through the wringer - you know even just as an artist, I get emotional in what we make. I read back over bits, and my heart lifts. God knows what I’m gonna be like next week!
